Welcome to what I believe will be three days of collegiality, intellectual stimulation, and—if you take advantage of what Bloomington has to offer—recreation. This theme-free WAC conference offers keynoters, presenters, and participants a chance to allow their imaginations to roam freely. Likewise, Bloomington invites visitors to explore the many sights, attractions, music venues, and restaurants within walking distance of conference sessions. Even though I’ve lived here only a short time, please allow me the chance as the conference unfolds to welcome you in person to my new hometown.
