Provides information regarding university records and information services within the realm of responsibility of the Office of International Admissions. Support Center Consultant

JOB DESCRIPTION: The UITS Support Center is hiring IU students for part time consultant positions. Student consultants are required to work at least 20 hours per week and no more than 38 hours per week. The starting wage is $8.75 for most shifts. We require a commitment to work at least 2 full semesters, not including the summer.
Student consultants provide technical assistance to all IU affiliates over multiple services such as phone, email, chat, and walk-in at two locations at IU Bloomington. Duties for all consultants include, but are not limited to, providing technical and troubleshooting support for both Windows and Macintosh desktops, mobile devices, IU central systems, networking, and updating technical articles in the IU Knowledge Base. Some consultants may also track system outages and post notices to inform IU affiliates. Our service extends 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and our schedules are set on a semester basis. Consultants are required to work both weekday and weekend shifts. We are committed to providing the best possible service to all of our customers, regardless of their level of computer expertise.
