About

The University Faculty Council (UFC) is a representative body of elected members from the all eight campuses of Indiana University. The Constitution of the UFC affords the faculty legislative and consultative authority over numerous matters. The authority of the faculty has been delegated to a body of elected representatives called the University Faculty Council. The UFC has membership from across the eight IU campuses and the University President is the presiding officer, with the Bloomington Faculty Council President and the IUPUI Faculty Council President presiding as Co-Secretaries of the University Faculty Council.

The UFC maintains a committee structure where most policy, legislative, and consultative authority is exercised. Committees are comprised of both elected UFC members and volunteer members from among the faculty.
