Special Funding for ROTC cadets

Project GO scholarships are valued around $6,500, and cover full tuition for SWSEEL, room and board on the Bloomington campus, and a small living stipend. This program is open to all ROTC students (contracted or non-contracted) from any branch and in any year of undergraduate study.

The languages available for study include Arabic, Dari, Kazakh, Pashto, Persian, Russian, Turkish, Uyghur, and Uzbek.

Interested students should 1. complete the online SWSEEL application (make sure to check the box indicating you are an ROTC student and answer the additional questions for ROTC students); 2. make sure to submit official transcripts from home institution (except for IU students) and two letters of recommendation along with your SWSEEL application. One letter of recommendation should come from the student's cadre and another from a faculty member (preferably one familiar with the student's language abilities).

**The priority deadline for applications is February 17, 2012, but applications will be accepted through March 28, 2012**

Students who accept a Project GO scholarship commit to completing the summer program at IU, as well as making reasonable efforts to continue studying their language of choice following the summer language program. Project GO at IU offers additional funds for SWSEEL alumni to pursue continued language studies and study abroad in an overseas study program.

Project GO at IU is funded by the United States Government’s National Security Education Program through the Institute for International Education.

Hard copies of transcripts and letters of recommendation can be e-mailed to rotcslcp@indiana.edu or mailed to:
