S-PLUS Licensing Information
S-PLUS incorporates a object-oriented programming language S, which makes various statistical data analyses flexible.
License Terms
- S-PLUS is available faculty, staff and students of Indiana University.
- Students get a perpetual license, meaning once you purchase it, it is yours until you leave the university. Upgrades are not included with the student license, but are available for an additional fee.
- Faculty and staff may lease the software annually, due June 30th. Both network and standalone installations are available.
- Departments may lease network copies. As an additional bonus, the departments gets an equal number of student licenses for free. For example, if a department leases a 5-client license for their network, they may install copies on 5 graduate students' computers as well, for a total of ten licenses. This option is only available if the department chooses a network installation.
- Full documentation is included with the package.
