R is a flexible programming language and environment for statistical computing and graphics. R is an implementation of the S language, which was developed at Bell Laboratories (formerly AT&T, now Lucent Technologies). R supports Microsoft Windows, Mac OS, and UNIX (Linux).

Public Software Availability

R is available in Student Technology Centers (STCs) labs (PC) and central shared computing systems (Quarry).

R can be obtained via the Comprehensive R Archive Network (CRAN) of R Project. General information about software licensing is also available.
