Sources of Funding at Indiana University
- Sponsored
Research Services provides information about external
funding resources and proposal processing. This office offers assistance
with the identification of external funding sources and advice for
generating a proposal, budget preparation, proposal approvals, and
submission.
- GradGrants
Center provides Indiana University graduate students
with training, one-on-one assistance with proposal writing, and a
centralized area to access funding information for fellowships, prizes,
awards, independent projects, scholarships, work cooperative programs,
and research opportunities.
- American
Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) provides funding
information, but it can be difficult to find. Try searching the site
for “funding” or “foundation grant.”
- Departmental Research Support Program
provides funding for research projects within the Department of Speech
and Hearing Sciences for students (both undergraduate and graduate)
and faculty.
- Graduate
Student Organization Research Awards provides research
funding for students working on an M.A. degree or in the early (pre-examination)
stages of Ph.D. work.
Note: We also have a collection of funding-related
materials in Arvada Onken's office (Room C133). In addition to announcements
and applications, the collection includes a list of successful internal-funding
applications from members of our faculty.
