Aphasia Support Group

We offer a support group for individuals with aphasia and their loved ones. Small group therapy sessions are held one hour weekly and are designed to maximize communication abilities in every day situations and to provide peer and social support.

In addition, the spouse and caregiver group provides a forum to discuss medical, social, coping, and financial issues. Speakers are also invited on occasion to discuss related topics in greater detail.
Weekly group meetings are held during all university semesters on Wednesdays from 5:00 – 6:00 P.M. at the IU Speech & Hearing Clinic.

To make an appointment or to receive additional information, please contact the Robert L. Milisen Speech-Language and Hearing Clinics at (812) 855-6251 or visit our Aphasia Support Group website at http://www.indiana.edu/~aphasia.
