SPEA VISTA Summer Associates

Theresa Meyers

“My summer VISTA experience, where I developed, ran, and evaluated youth programs in community gardens, enabled me to provide systematic improvements to the youth programs in the gardens and at the pantry so that children could learn about healthy eating and local food systems in more effective (and fun!) ways. The SPEA VISTA program ensured that I would have meaningful work assigned to me and Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard did a fantastic job integrating me into the organization.”
