Why become a Sigma Nu?
Sigma Nu was one of the first
Greek houses on Indiana's campus. Since its
establishment in 1892 Sigma Nu has been a leader and
example to all students in the areas of philanthropy,
scholarship, athletics and campus events. Sigma Nu also
prides itself on the close brotherhood it establishes
through pledgeship, intramurals and social events. Sigma
Nu looks for men that want to achieve in all areas of
the college experience to become members in this
chapter. Many Sigma Nu's have held position's on the
various student activity boards on campus including the
IU Student Foundation, Inter-Fraternity Council, Student
Athletic Board, and The Board of Eons. Rush is is a time
for Sigma Nu to present itself to potential rushees so
that they can see for themselves what it means to be a
member of Sigma Nu. Over two thousand men that have
pledged Sigma Nu have left Indiana with four years of
friendships, good times and a fulfilling college
experience from there membership in this fraternity.
Location
Where you live on campus becomes
very important once you have walked 2-3 miles on a hot
day to get to class. Sigma Nu's central location on
campus make it a great place to live because of its
close proximity to classrooms and athletics facilities.
The nationally ranked Kelley School of Business is less
than a five minute walk downhill from Sigma Nu. The
brothers also enjoy the multi-million dollar SRSC
workout facility directly across the street. Brothers
usually play basketball everyday after dinner at the
SRSC because it is so close.
