21st Century Scholars Covenant
The 21st Century Scholars Program offers tuition assistance to Indiana residents who meet academic and need requirements. Students apply for the 21st Century Scholars Program in the 6th, 7th or 8th grade.
The 21st Century Scholars Covenant award is being phased in over four years beginning with the 2007-2008 new freshman cohort. Students must receive the award as a freshman to be considered for future eligibility.
The 21th Century Scholarship Covenant at IU will supplement the 21st Century Scholars state grant to cover the full cost of attendance, including books, room and board, up to the amount of a student's financial need, as defined by the FASFA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). The Covenant provides 21st Century Scholars with enough additional financial aid to the meet the full financial need, as defined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), each year the student is eligible to receive the 21st Century Scholar award to pay educational fees as a full-time bachelor's degree candidate at Indiana University Bloomington.
This award is renewable for four years (eight semesters) of study at IU as long as the student remains eligible. See the 21st Century Scholars Covenant website www.iub.edu/~covenant for more info.
