    ARD works in Eastern Europe and Central Asia on issues such as protecting national parks, assisting agricultural sectors, working to improve infrastructure , institutional development, and information and knowledge management. They employ staff in their Vermont and DC offices and overseas.
  • Carana Corporation
    A consulting firm that provides development solutions to government, private business, individuals, and international donor agencies. They have projects in Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union that deal with governance, pension, labor market and electricity reform. Website has list of openings and consultant database.
  • Development Alternatives, Inc.
    This for-profit company offers long-term positions and short- to medium-term technical assistance assignments in developing and transitional economies, as well as jobs in Washington, DC working to support international development offices worldwide.
  • DevNet Jobs.org Web page and listserve with extensive list of jobs in UN Agencies, NGOs, Foundations, Funding organizations, Non-Profits, Charities, Banks and Inter-Government Organizations. Limited free access; fee for full access.
  • DPK Consulting
    DPK Consulting provides technical, management, and advisory services to help institutions in developing and transitioning societies operate under transparent rules that safeguard rights of individuals, stimulate economic growth, and guard against unethical or corrupt practices; ensure the efficient and effective delivery of services to the public; and increase citizen participation. They administer programs in Eastern Europe and Russia and Armenia.
  • Emerging Markets Group (EMG) EMG provides development consulting services under donor-funded initiatives such as USAID, DfID, the European Commission, and the World Bank. They focus on Agribusiness and Rural Livelihoods, Financial Sector Services, Healthcare, Private Sector Development, and Public Sector Services. They currently have open positions in their DC office and in Russia and Ukraine.
  • Foundation for International Community Assistance (FINCA)
    FINCA utilizes the village banking method to offer small loans to local groups of entrepreneurs in developing countries. They employ staff in the US and worldwide, including Russia, the Caucasus and Central Asia.
  • International Relief and Development (IRD)
    IRD is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life of people in the most economically deprived parts of the world by mobilizing and providing assistance tailored specifically to their needs. They have field offices in Eastern Europe and the Caucasus.
  • OSCE: Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe
    The largest regional security organization in the world with members from Europe, Central Asia and North America. OSCE sponsors a wide range of programs from arms control, preventive diplomacy, and confidence- and security-building measures, to human rights, democratization, election monitoring and economic and environmental security. Their website has an interactive database of vacant positions within OSCE and also with contracting organizations.
  • PAE
    PAE has been providing global government contract services for democratization missions. Currently PAE is recruiting qualified individuals for placement in a database that will be used in hiring Americans to work in various OSCE-contracted positions in Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union.
  • Transitions Online
    This site posts employment opportunities in countries all over Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union in a variety of sectors within international development.
  • Transparency International (TI)
    TI works worldwide to combat corruption by raising awareness of its damaging effects, advocating policy reform, working towards the implementation of multilateral conventions and monitoring compliance by governments, corporations and banks. They also work to increase levels of accountability and transparency within government operations.
  • United Nations (UN)
    This site lists job openings for the entire UN by category. The UN also offers Junior Professional Posts, which are entry level positions that require applicants to take a written exam.
  • United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)
    The development arm of the United Nations, the UNDP works in democratic governance, HIV/AIDS prevention, crisis prevention and recovery, management, energy and the environment, and poverty reduction. They offer permanent positions, unpaid internships, and other volunteer opportunities abroad.
  • World Bank
    Works in developing countries worldwide to fight poverty and improve living standards by providing loans, policy advice, technical assistance and knowledge sharing services. They offer a Junior Professional Associates Program for recent bachelor's recipients and a Young Professionals Program for recent master's degree recipients.
  • World Vision
    World Vision is the world's largest Christian international relief and development agency; it periodically has openings for positions in Eastern Europe, Russia and the NIS.
