The GAO has various teams that work in offices around the US, from which

This agency coordinates and shares information about language-related
activities at the Federal government level. Their homepage has a list

"The Library of Congress Junior Fellows Program" allows students or
recent graduates to work with primary source materials, organize and
document archival collections, produce finding aids and bibliographic
records, do bibliographical research; and contribute to the Library's
efforts to digitize its historical collections.

National Virtual Translation Center
NVTC acts as a governmental clearinghouse for facilitating interagency
use of translators by partnering with elements of the U.S. Government,
academia, and private industry to identify translator resources and
engage their services as virtually-connected linguists and translators.
They can work on a full or part time basis or as needed, from home or

The NSA is America's cryptologic organization, which coordinates, directs,

systems and produce foreign intelligence information. They hire individuals
with foreign language skills to serve as translators and analysts.

Offers a 14-month paid internship for graduate students interested in
exploring a career in nuclear nonproliferation.
