Sorin Gog

Sorin Gog is currently a Ph.D. candidate at Babeş-Bolyai University focusing on the process of secularization in post-socialist Romania.  He holds a Masters degree in sociology from Babeş-Bolyai and has studied on several research scholarships at Fribourg University in Switzerland. Recent papers have included: “Morality and Religion in Europe,” published in Studia and “The construction of the religious space in post-socialist Romania,” published in the December 2006 issue of Journal for the Study of Religions and Ideologies. Currently he is involved in an international research project regarding the conversion of Roma / Gypsy to New Religious Movements in post-socialist Romania.
