Our colloquium talks take place in Ballantine Hall, in room 205.

For those coming out of town, the best parking options are the "Atwater Parking Garage", 
situated between E Third street and Atwater avenue, or the Memorial Union parking lot.
Ballantine Hall is a HUGE concrete buidling with at least 9 stories, the largest and 
highest in that part of campus; it's right between the Atwater Parking Garage and the 
Memorial Union parking lot.



For Atwater, take Atwater avenue, (you'll notice the parking building, it's very big, 
concrete, looking typically like a parking garage) and turn left on "Faculty avenue", 
the next one after passing a traffic light crossing "Woodlawn". The entrance to the 
parking is just there on your left, on "Faculty Ave".  It's a pay parking for those 
who do not have a parking permit. The other one, the "visitors' parking" is also 
pay-parking. It is situated just behind the Memorial Union, accessible through 7th 
street leading into campus (very easy to find). 


Going from Atwater Garage to Ballantine:

Go down (take left when you exit) "Faculty" to cross "E Third Street" (which runs 
on the border of campus). You shoud see right in front of you Jordan Hall (biology).
You may either go around Jordan Hall on the left, go through Jordan Hall (and exit
at the back), or go around Jordan Hall on the right (past the greenhouse). 
Ballantine is behind Jordan Hall.

If you take the way on the right, go past the green house, and take a left following 
the street into campus ("Hawthorne"). The street makes a left-right-left turn and 
goes down to what looks like a covered parking garage. You are already seeing 
Ballantine Hall. (5 minutes)

If you take the left around Jordan, you should land onto Ballantine quite directly 
(5 minutes)

Through Jordan Hall is the shortest: You enter the building, you follow slight on 
your lefthand a corridor with stuffed animals in windows, and you should arrive 
in the cafeteria/chill out zone. Take the exit and Ballantine is right in front 
of you. (3 minutes)

If you park on the Memorial Union parking lot, you'll also see Ballantine 
directly in front of you.
Exit the parking lot leaving Memorial Hall building complex on your right side. 
There are stairs leading onto the street. Cross the street, you'll see the 
entrance to Ballantine Hall (the huge building). (3 minutes)
