The Clinical Research Billing Compliance Advisory Committee will meet regularly and shall work closely with representatives of the Office of Research Administration (ORA) and the research community to foster and enhance compliance with all applicable research billing requirements. ORA shall appoint representatives to the Clinical Research Billing Compliance Advisory Committee (Committee).
Members of the Committee may include representatives from each of the following areas:
- Health Science Schools;
- The Vice President of Research or his/her designee;
- Health Care Affiliates;
- ORA Clinical Research Compliance Officer;
- Indiana University Office of the General Counsel (General Counsel)
ORA may seek the advice of the Committee in the following activities:
- Formulating appropriate policies to guide billing of services provided as part of a clinical trial;
- Revisions to the Research Billing Compliance Plan
- Training materials and programs for Research Billing Compliance
- Inquiries concerning research billing issues related to compliance or reports of non-compliance
- Appeals to Audit results
