The Collins Living-Learning Center is more than a residence hall. It is a community where residents learn, engage, interact, and make lifelong friendships.
Academics, community, diversity, sustainable living, and student empowerment: we emphasize these five principles, and work with residents to help incorporate them into their college experience.
Collins is a partnership between Residential Programs and Services and the College of Arts and Sciences at Indiana University
We supplement regular University programming with our own:
- courses chosen by and taught by Collins students
- our own arts council and arts events
- community engagement
- major programs including Welcome Week, Halloween Dance, and Collinsfest
Collins stresses intellectual exploration, respect for our environment, and student-run activities that range from professor dinners to talent shows to working with underprivileged children.
Residents can shape their own ventures and positively influence the community through Q-projects, Community Council, and a host of other Collins groups. They have the opportunity to learn from a diverse group of peers; engage in educational and artistic programs; and take on one of the many leadership roles at Collins.
We welcome anyone who wants to live in an engaged, close-knit community.
