Undergraduate Minor in African Languages

Requirements: At least 16 credit hours in a particular language track as described below.

Pre-requisites: The first semester instruction in one of the following languages is a pre-requisite to apply for a minor.

  • A101 Elementary Akan I (Akan/Twi track)
  • B101 Elementary Bambara I (Bambara track)
  • H101 Elementary Hausa I(Hausa track)
  • S101 Elementary Swahili I (Swahili track)
  • Z101 Elementary Zulu I (Zulu track)

  • A102 (Elementary Akan II, 4 credits)
  • A201 (Intermediate Akan I, 3 credits)
  • A202 (Intermediate Akan II, 3 credits)
  • A301 (Advanced Akan I, 3 credits)
