Spring Into Gardening 2014

Spring into Gardening 2014 logo

Get your hands dirty and get involved with the gardening programs of Bloomington and Monroe County. Spring into Gardening is a family friendly event that will introduce you to over 12 local gardening programs within Monroe County for both adults and children. Learn about growing your own fresh produce in a community garden or helping grow food for others in need. Try out some of the hands-on gardening demonstrations, like growing micro greens with Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard, planting fruit trees with the Bloomington Community Orchard, or container gardening with Middle Way House Rooftop Garden. This will be an opportunity to learn how to participate in a gardening program near you.

Gardening reduces stress, can save you money, and provides healthy exercise, nutritional food and bonding time with family!

This is a FREE event, but please bring a non perishable food item to donate to the Hoosier Hills Food Bank and Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard.
