Art and Artifacts

The Kinsey Institute art and artifact collection contains approximately 7,000 items from the United States, Europe, South America, Africa, and Asia, and spans more than 2,000 years of human history. Your contribution helps grow and protect these treasures with general support.


The Kinsey Institute photography collection contains more than 80,000 prints and negatives dating from the 1850s to the present. Most of these photographs were produced in the United States, Europe (Britain, France, Germany, Italy), and Asia (Japan, China).

Catalog records for the art, artifacts, and photography collections are currently being added to KICAT, the online catalog for The Kinsey Institute library and special collections.
