Housing/Meals

Participants in the Summer Workshop have a choice of living in air-conditioned university dormitory rooms, or making their own arrangements to live in town. The Workshop strongly recommends living on campus, since this will augment the students' overall experience and increase the opportunity to speak with instructors, visitors in the cafeteria, and other students.

The Summer Workshop will set up and staff language tables for noon meals in Wright Quad dining hall (a ten minute walk from classes in Ballantine Hall) for all of the participants in the Workshop. Wright Quad has a large salad bar and a food court. The Workshop considers that the language tables form such a valuable and integral part of the students' cultural and linguistic experience that it requires students to participate in these meals as part of their overall language program.

An application for housing will be mailed to participants after they formally request to be enrolled in the Summer Workshop.
