The Andrzej Zieminski Fellowship
This fellowship has been established in memory of Professor Andrzej Zieminski to recognize outstanding students that have been admitted to pursue a PhD degree the Department of Physics at Indiana University. The fellowship will be given to an outstanding candidate for graduate study, with graduate students conducting research in elementary particle physics receiving first preference.

The Leo M. Falicov Fellowship in Theoretical Physics
This fellowship has been established in memory of Professor Leo M. Falicov to recognize outstanding students that have been admitted to pursue a PhD degree in Theoretical Physics in the Department of Physics at Indiana University. The fellowship will be awarded to incoming doctoral students who also increase the diversity of our graduate program, for example, by being originally from South and Central America, US citizens who are members of traditionally underrepresented groups (i.e., Hispanic American, African American, Native American), or women from any country.

Eli Lilly Fellowships in Biocomplexity
Fellowships are available to new and/or continuing Indiana University graduate students who are (1) trained in physical, mathematical and computational sciences, who wish to pursue further study in biomedicine, or (2) trained in biology who wish to pursue further study in quantitative sciences and to pursue careers in interdisciplinary, quantitative biosciences.

CIC Committee on Institutional Cooperation (CIC) FreeApp Program
The CIC FreeApp program is designed to expand participation of underrepresented students in graduate education. Through this program, prospective students can apply for a graduate application fee waiver or request graduate information for Ph.D. or Master of Fine Arts programs at CIC institutions

Project 1000:
A national program created to assist underrepresented students applying to graduate school.

Ronald E. McNair Graduate Fellowship:
The purpose of the McNair Program is to award grants to institutions of higher education for projects designed to provide disadvantaged college students with effective preparation for doctoral study. $42 million to fund 180 awards.

MEDIC-B Graduate Fellowships:
MEDIC-B Graduate Fellowships are for entering MEDIC-B scholars who intend to earn a Ph.D. degree at Indiana University.

National Physical Science Consortium:
Annual fellowship program to support Ph.D.-track students in the physical sciences and related engineering fields, with special emphasis on supporting women and minority students who have been under-represented, historically, in the research community.

National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Fellowship or Assistantship:
The Graduate Research Fellowship provides three years of support for graduate study leading to research-based master’s or doctoral degrees and is intended for students who are in the early stages of their graduate study.

Future Faculty Teaching Fellowships
FFTF provides the opportunity to teach for the academic year or for one semester at one of the Indiana University branch campuses
