The University Graduate School has information about IU’s advanced academic degrees, such as the Master of Arts, Master of Science, Master of Liberal Studies, Master of Arts for Teachers, Master of Laws, Master of Fine Arts, and all Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees.

The various IU Bloomington schools have information about IU’s professional degrees, such as the Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.), Juris Doctor (J.D.), and Doctor of Optometry (O.D.).

Graduate School Admission

Admission for graduate study at IU is granted jointly by the University Graduate School and the department, program, or school in which you plan to study. You will apply for admission to a particular program of study. It is important to read and understand your desired program’s admission procedures, requirements, and deadlines.

If you are a U.S. citizen or permanent resident who completed academic work outside the United States and would like to apply to a graduate program, download the Supplemental Application for Admission (PDF) and submit it to the Office of International Admissions for a review of your credentials.
