Sylvia McNair

Sylvia McNair

Two-time Grammy Award winner Sylvia McNair is a frequent guest performer with major opera houses and symphony orchestras throughout Europe and the U.S. Her audiences have included the late Pope John Paul II, Hillary Clinton, and the U.S. Supreme Court. "I hope my students gain confidence on stage and comfort in their own bodies," she says. "Living well in your own skin is half the challenge of being successful on stage."

IU Day at the Indiana State Fair

Thursday, August 7, 2008
Indiana State Fairgrounds
Indianapolis, IN

For the 3rd consecutive year, IU has planned a major presence at the Indiana State Fair. IU's involvement with the fair will be a monumental undertaking, requiring the help of approximately 300 IU employees, alumni, students, retirees, and others to make it a success.

If you are willing to offer your help -- whether for a 2-3 hour shift or for the full day -- please check with your supervisor to see if you can receive work day credit and travel time allowance for this assignment, then complete the State Fair Volunteer Registration Form.
