IU Volleyball Monthly Newsletter

The IU Men’s Volleyball Club has put together their first monthly newsletter for the month of October. The newsletter will be used to keep alumni and parents updated with the status of the club. Hoosier Fall Classic

The date for the ninth annual Hoosier Fall Classic has been announced! This competitive pre-season tournament will be held on October 4, 2008. Spots are currently available for teams to enter. All of the sixteen teams will be guaranteed to play a minimum of four matches. The price is $150 for a one team entry, and $250 for a two team entry. This tournament has been a great tune up for many teams as they get ready for the second semester. Stay tuned for further updates, and if you have any questions please contact John McSorley.

Tryouts

For anyone interested in trying out for the IU Men's Club Volleyball team there will be an informational meeting on August 30 at 8 pm in HPER 293. Tryouts will be held on September 9, 11 and 16 at HPER 293 from 8-11 pm. If you have any further questions please contact John McSorley. As a club we have two teams in order to help improve the quality of play of our teams, and also to give many players a chance to play at a competitive level. We not only travel to a variety of places around the Midwest, but we make trips out to the west coast in order to compete with some of the elite teams from another part of the country. Club volleyball is something to consider if you are interested in playing volleyball at a competitive level, and want to have fun doing it.
