Where can I check out educational technology equipment?
Although the IC does not loan equipment, there are several places in the SoE and across campus that offer technology equipment loan services.
Below is a list of campus resources that offer technology equipment loan services:
School of Education Resources
- SoE Instructional Technology Equipment Loan
The IC and ETS have partnered together to provide technology equipment loan services to faculty, staff, and associate instructors in the School of Education. The equipment must be reserved online in advance, and can be picked up at the IC Office in room 2002. You can make an appointment with one of our instructional technology consultants here in the IC (room 2002) for assistance and support in using any of the instructional technology you've checked out. Available technology currently includes: webcams, digital video camcorder, FlipCam video camcorders, desktop usb microphones and headsets, digital voice recorders, mini lapel microphones, digital camera, tripods, and a Wacom tablet.
- Teaching Technology Lab (TTL);
The TTL provides equipment loan services for the School of Education. Below is a list of some of the technology equipment they have available for loan, however, please contact them directly for specific information.
- Mini-DVD camcorders, miniDV (DV tape) camcorders, Tripods, Digital cameras, Digital voice recorders, Minicassette voice recorders, Transcribing machines, portable CD stereo players, etc.

- Wells Library- Media & Reserve Services
Media & Reserve Services (formerly Kent Cooper Room) at the Herman B Wells Library provides digital equipment loan services primarily to IU Bloomington students, however, special arrangements can be made to loan equipment to IU Bloomington Faculty and Instructors to check out equipment if needed to assist students with their course-related projects. Consult the Media & Reserve Services website for a list of digital equipment available, and for their loan & circulation policies.
- Media Design & Production
Media Design and Production offers a broad range of video, audio, multimedia, and web-based products and services to support instruction, academic initiatives, research and university functions. In particular, Media Pro offers media duplication, transfer, and conversion services as well as lecture and seminar recording services.
