Hands-on Training

We offer a series of hands-on IU web-based instruction tools and web development software training sessions. If requested, the same training can be repeated. One-on-one training is also available. Below is an overview of our training curriculum:

  • Oncourse (Oncourse is IU’s course management system)
  • QuizSite & Post’em (These two systems are IU’s online grade posting and testing applications)
  • Web Development 101 & Macromedia Dreamweaver MX The Basics
  • Macromedia Dreamweaver MX Intermediate
  • Macromedia Dreamweaver MX Advanced
  • Authoring Interactive Web-Based Courses Using Macromedia CourseBuilder for Dreamweaver MX
  • Web Graphics 101 and Macromedia Fireworks the Basics
  • Macromedia Fireworks Intermediate
  • Macromedia Fireworks Advanced
  • Macromedia Flash the Basics
  • QuizSite & Post’em (These two systems are IU’s online grade posting and testing applications)
  • Streaming Your Lectures with Sound over the World Wide Web
  • Teaching with Digital Media Series
    • Course I: Getting Started with Digital Media
      Topics covered: hardware, video shooting (e.g., sound, pane and zoom, lighting, etc.), night and day, etc.
    • Course II: Editing for Great Video Using iMovie
      Topics covered: (1) building the movie, (2) transitions and effects, (3) titles, captions, and credits, (4) narration, music, and sound, (5) incorporating still pictures into video clips
    • Course III: Putting It All Together
      Topics covered: (1) From iMovie to QuickTime, (2) Converting QuickTime Movies to Other File Formats for Maximum Output Flexibility, (3) Putting Movies on the CD-ROM and on the Web
    • Course IV: DVD Production
      Topics covered: (1) Importing and Encoding, (2) Authoring, (3) Working with Buttons and Menus, (4) Adding Audio, (5) Burning DVDs
