Foreign Language and Area Studies Fellowships

Title VI Foreign Language and Area Studies (FLAS) Fellowships are awarded to universities in order to promote language and area studies training of undergraduate and graduate students who intend to make their careers in government service, higher education, or other employment where knowledge of foreign cultures is a prerequisite for success. In accordance with the guidelines of the Department of Education, preference will be given to students likely to pursue government service. Only US citizens and permanent residents are eligible for FLAS fellowships. For more information about FLAS qualifications visit our FLAS page.

Graduate Assistantships

The IAUNRC employees three graduate students for its Outreach, Copywriter, and Web Developer GA positions. GAs work 20 hours a week and are given tuition remission and a stipends. Faculty Travel Grants

Inner Asian and Uralic National Resource Center is offering funds to support faculty domestic and international travel. In return we ask applicants to commit to a presentation following the trip. The lecture can be part of CEUS Colloquium Series, a brown bag presentation or an interactive video presentation to an audience at another university.
