HPER H445/645 Travel Study is a three-credit-hour course offered in summer section II by the Department of Applied Health, School of Health, Physical Education, and Recreation, Indiana University - Bloomington. This course is designed to provide an opportunity for understanding the public health/healthcare systems, main health challenges, and Asian cultures in China and Thailand. The course will involve an overseas field study trip to Beijing, Hong Kong, and Bangkok. Students will learn from instructors of the class, professors at major universities, and directors of the agencies who will be invited to lecture on related topics. Students will also have a chance to discuss and share their opinions as well as to interact with local students. A required paper will be due a week after students come back to the US. English language will be used for the entire course.
