HHSP Summer Study Abroad Program to Ghana, West Africa

The Summer Study Abroad Program to Ghana coordinated by the Hudson & Holland Scholars Program is a once in a lifetime opportunity, as well as a life transforming experience for all participants.
Dr. Kevin Brown, professor of law, first took a group of law students to Ghana in 2002. Two years after his 2004 appointment as Director of the Hudson & Holland Scholars Program, he launched the first HHSP Ghana experience (2006), through collaboration between the Hudson & Holland Scholars Program and the Department of African American & African Diaspora Studies (AAADS). The program has undergone significant restructuring and become institutionalized under coordination and leadership of current HHSP Director, Dr. Virginia LeBlanc.
Over the years, the program has grown and extended its partnership to the Indiana University Groups Program and COOK Medical.
