For outstanding contributions to the field and discipline of Recreation, Tourism and Sport (RTS) Geography, the Association of American Geographers has awarded Dan Knudsen the Roy Wolfe Award.

He also received the Ryan Award for exceptional contributions to international programs and studies.

2008 West Lakes Meeting of the Association of American Geographers

September, 2008: We are pleased to welcome Rebecca Lave and Rinku Roy Chowdhury to the faculty of the department.  Rebecca and Rinku both contribute to the department’s strengths in human-environment interactions.  In addition, Rinku will bolster our GIScience program while Rebecca adds new dimensions to our human geography program.
