Biography

Aleta Baldwin is a PhD student in Gender Studies with a minor in Human Sexuality. She graduated Magna cum Laude from the University of Nevada Las Vegas with a degree in Women's Studies. Broadly, her research focus is female sexuality, specifically narratives of female sexuality in new media, and the relationship between desire, identity, and the marketplace. She has previously presented research on the sex workers' rights movement at the National Women's Studies Association conference in 2006 and at the Pacific Sociological Association meeting in 2007.
