I. The Basis of Grading:

  Your grade in this course will based on four types of work:

• Weekly Web Assignments, designed to help you understand the material and master the basic operations required in a college history course

                                40% of Grade
 

•  Team Exercises and Participation in Team Activities      20% of Grade
   

•  Two Take-Home Essays   40% of grade (20% each)
   

II. Late Work:

    In order to maintain standards of fairness, all late assignments and papers will be strongly penalized. Exceptions to these rules will only be made in cases where the student can provide a letter from a doctor or from the Dean of Students' Office.
 

III. Form of Work and Responsibility for Keeping Extra Copies

    Since we will be dealing with a great deal of paper in this course, it will be the responsibility of each student to keep extra copies of all of his or her assignments and papers . Both paper and disk copies of these assignments should be made at all stages of their production to assure that the inevitable computer problems do not result in a late paper.
