Student Associations
There are two student organizations – the Ethnomusicology Student Association (ESA) and the Folklore Student Association (FSA). These organizations allow students the opportunity to demonstrate both academic and performative excellence through engagement in a variety of activities:
- An annual student-organized conference (jointly held with Ohio State University)
- Workshops, seminars and colloquiums
- Coffeehouse to showcase diverse talent in the department each semester
In addition to the two disciplinary organizations, Trickster Press is a student-led publishing group that publishes scholarship in both ethnomusicology and folklore.
