Dr. Lois R. Wise, Director, European Union Center and West European Studies; Professor, School of Public and Environmental Affairs, Indiana University Bloomington. PhD, Indiana University, 1982. Her research interests include the impact of public management reform on the bureaucracy (particularly in Scandinavia and the US), the impact of globalization and EU agreements on labor market systems, comparative studies of civil service systems, administrative reform, employment policies and practices, organizational innovations (employment of foreign professionals; e-government, pay reforms) and studies of the consequences of inclusion and exclusion.
