Geography and History of the World Workshops

We help provide workshops to train Indiana high school teachers in the new Geography and History of the World state standards. Coordinated by IU’s Center for Social Studies and International Education (CSSIE), these workshops are offered in collaboration with five other IU area studies centers:

The workshops provide the geography and history content and help teachers with course development in these world areas:

  • Africa
  • Central Eurasia
  • East Asia
  • Latin America and the Caribbean
  • Middle East
  • Russia and Eastern Europe

To attend a workshop in your area, contact:

Arlene Benitez, Associate Director, IU Center for Social Studies and International Education, abenitez [at] indiana [dot] edu, or call (812) 855-1270 or (800) 266-3815.
