Location, Directions, and Parking
The East Asian Studies Center is located in Memorial Hall West Room 207, 1021 E. Third Street, Bloomington, IN, 47405. We are on the south side of campus, between the IU Jacobs School of Music and Jordan Hall on E. Third Street. All IU and many city buses pass in front of Memorial Hall, and there is a bus stop in front of the entrance. Parking is limited at Memorial Hall. All visitors are encouraged to park in the Atwater Street Parking Garage, which is two blocks west and one block south of Memorial Hall.
To reach the Atwater garage, take Atwater Street past the IU School of Optometry. Stay in the left lane on Atwater, and you will see a large parking garage on your left. Enter it by turning left on Faculty Street, just past the east end of the garage (not the street before the garage). If you have an “A” parking sticker or guest/visitor tag, you will not have to pay when you exit. Otherwise, you will have to pay a fee. (Parking in the Atwater garage is free from 6 p.m. Friday until 7 a.m. Monday.) More information on visitors’ parking can be found at IU Parking Operations.
