Governor Pence signs resident tuition bill

Indiana University administration supports the resident tuition bill signed by Governor Pence on May 7, 2013. The bill will allow undocumented students who were already pursuing their college degrees to complete their education at the resident tuition rate.  A change in the law last year had said if students were undocumented they had to pay out-of-state tuition rates.  Under the newly signed law, those students are now exempt from provisions governing in-state tuition rates in Public Law 171-2011, passed during the legislative session in 2011.
