Festivities and programs scheduled throughout National Hispanic Heritage Month

2013 National Hispanic Heritage Month
"Looking Back, Looking Ahead"
September 15-October 15

Get ready for a month-long celebration to recognize those who have contributed through education, advocacy, or culture to the Latino community!  Join campus and community members for this year's NHHM kickoff on Sat., Sept. 14, from 1-4pm at the Monroe County Public Library.

Other events include:

  • Annual Fiesta de Otoño at the Farmers' Market (Sept. 21)
  • "Salsa Under the Stars" (Sept. 28)
  • Sigma Lambda Beta/Sigma Lambda Gamma cookout (Sept. 29)
  • "New Inspiration" in Collins LLC coffeehouse (Oct. 1)
  • Festival Latino (Oct. 5)

The IU Art Museum, WTIU public TV, the IU Cinema, and others will host special programs in recognition of National Hispanic Heritage Month.

And, La Casa's 40th Anniversary celebration will take place Oct. 11-13.
