ACC's Over a Cup of Tea Program presents "The Creative Art of Coping in the Japanese-American Internment"

We will be remembering the anniversary of the Japanese-American Internment with a discussion led by Assistant Professor of History Ellen Wu and Associate Professor of Studio Art Osamu James Nakagawa. Based on an NPR article (www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=126557553), we will talk about how art has been used to express emotions during times of political and emotional stress. Asian Cultures Around Campus presents "Lunar New Year Celebration"

Monroe County Public Library, 303 E. Kirkwood Ave.
Stories, performances, crafts, and snacks to celebrate the beginning of the Lunar New Year. Drop-in to celebrate! No registration necessary. Children ages 7 and under should be accompanied by an adult. Stories and performances start at 2:15pm in the library auditorium and crafts for kids will be held at meeting rooms next to the auditorium.
