Welcome to the Laboratory for Infant Studies (formerly, the Developmental Cognitive
Neuroscience Lab)

We study the origins and development of perception, action, and representation. Our approach is grounded in the dynamic relationship between neural maturation and environmental stimulation, and the contribution of each to brain and behavioral development.

We are especially interested in how perception and action interact dynamically through feedback and memory to guide our behavior. Our studies are designed to investigate the mechanisms responsible for these behaviors and include behavioral and electrophysiological approaches as well as computational modeling.
