Teaching Statement
My teaching I believe that teaching is the art of communication in which we keep exploring
the communicative and effective ways through communications with our enthusiasm and interests
on the subject. The teaching and learning process is flexible that the teacher needs to figure out
the learners’ needs and try the easier and more understandable but effective methods to help the
students to reach the teaching object. Trying to standing at the learners’ aspect, finding out each
learner’s advantages and disadvantages, and connecting the difficulties resulted from the Chinese
and English languages differences are the main principles to help the learners to involve in the
learning atmosphere. Language is closely related to culture, so as the Chinese language teacher,
I prefer to introduce the authentic Chinese culture to the learners. The emphasis on the learners’
participations such as role plays, for example, encourages the learners practice Chinese while
they are doing the actions.
