Action:
  1. Approved minutes from October 21, 2005 as written.
  2. Approved recommendation to the College Policy Committee to delete two CPC policies from the books:
    1. College Policy Committee Statement on Grade Minima Designed to Restrict Admissions (February 6, 1992)
    2. Course Prerequisites Designed to Prepare Students for Program Admission (February 6, 1992)
  3. Approved American Studies B.A. degree proposal, with one change: delete words “in the hemisphere” found on page two, paragraph two, line eight.


Discussion:
  1. Collins Living-Learning Center Director, Ellen Dwyer, shared information on the center’s current and spring 2006 courses and activities.
  2. General Education issues – UFC proposal discussed.
  3. Fashion Design B.S. degree proposal tabled; further clarification requested of department.
  4. Intensive Writing requirement – David Halloran presented information on the IW essay prize, survey, and FAQs.


Meeting was adjourned at 3:30.
