Alumni Spotlight

Sandro Sato
Right after graduating with the Class of 2006 I was offered a position as an Operations Representative at United Airlines in Chicago. The time to leave the US came after an offer from the Dow Chemical Co. to work as a Trainee at Dow’s Latin American Headquarter in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Read more.
Dear CMCL Alumni,
As we celebrate the 10th year of the founding of the Department of Communication and Culture, we are pleased that this experiment in exploring contemporary public culture has been so successful. CMCL has grown to 25 full time faculty, over 80 graduate students, and more than 400 undergraduate majors. We recently moved into a brand new building on Third street and sponsor a wide range of lectures, colloquia and film screenings. If you are on campus, stop in and say hello or send an email update.
We would also like to invite you to get more involved with our department. Please email Amy Cornell if you would like to be more involved.
- Are you willing to be interviewed to be the subject of an alumni profile?
- Can your place of employment provide an internship or job opportunity for any of our students? Communication and Culture majors span a wide range of interests from film and media to law and politics from public relations and marketing to not-for-profit causes.
- Would your work experience make for an interesting presentation to the Communication and Culture Honor society?
- Would you be willing to serve as a resource for students who might be pursuing a career similar to yours?
Best Wishes,
Gregory A. Waller

Department of Communication and Culture
