Undergrad Study Abroad Essay Contest
The Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies (CLACS) invites student submissions for its Second Annual Undergraduate Student Essay Contest. Participants should produce original essays that highlight study abroad experiences in Latin America or the Caribbean. CLACS Undergraduate Student Essay Contest.
Latin American & Caribbean Studies can enhance your perspective on the world, as well as better prepare you for a career in a variety of fields.
Students may choose to pursue a minor or an undergraduate area certificate in Latin American and Caribbean Studies as they obtain a Bachelor's degree in a primary discipline. These programs are designed to offer integrated regional expertise to students planning careers in teaching, research, journalism, government, business, the non-profit sector, and other areas. Maria DeSanto is a senior graduating in May 2016 majoring in Political Science and Hispanic Literature with minors in CLACS and Latino Studies as well as a certificate in Political and Civic Engagement. In 2015, Maria spent six months in South America where she studied Social Policy, History, and Literature in Buenos Aires, Argentina and volunteered at a non-profit in La Paz, Bolivia. More >>
