Mendel Research Grants : Funding Opportunities

CLACS invites applications for Mendel Summer Research Grants from graduate students with research interests in Latin America or the Caribbean. Priority for Mendel funds will be given to graduate students in the humanities. The intent of the grant is to allow students to develop greater familiarity with the language and culture, to gather initial research data, and to develop contacts with scholars and institutions in their field of study. Applications will be accepted for any country in Latin America or the Caribbean regardless of language spoken.
Awards: $500 to $800, depending on the total amount of expected travel expenses. Awards will not cover per diem, incidental, or other expenses not related to travel.
