Post'Em Student Documentation
What is Post'Em?
Post'Em is a program to permit students to see
grades, scores, comments and other instructor feedback on the Web.
Students can only see scores posted for them by individual instructors.
Where else can I find my grades?
- Some instructors post scores in Oncourse if they are using it as a course tool.
- To see official grades from the Registrar, log in to
Insite as a student and click "Transcript".
How do I check my scores in Post'Em?
- You can check your scores by typing this URL in your web browser:
https://www.indiana.edu/~best/cgi-bin/postem/students.pl
Or go to
the BEST Home Page and click on the appropiate link.
Please refer to the Logging in to BEST Web Applications document for information about the login
procedure.
What if I have problems logging in?
- If you enter the login information correctly,
but your username was not found in the Post'Em database,
It may be that none of your instructors have sent Post'Em
any scores which contain your username, or your username may be misspelled.
You may want to contact your instructors
and ask them these questions:
- Will you use Post'Em to post scores for our class this term?
- Have you posted our scores yet?
- Could you verify that my username is spelled correctly in your scores file?
- If you entered the login information incorrectly,
You may have mistyped your name or password,
or did not type in your network password.
Please note that your network password may or may not be the same one you use to read your email, depending on how you have your UITS accounts configured.
Your Network ID
is the combination of a valid IU Network username, and a
valid network password. If you use IU email systems, your email password may
or may not match your network password, depending on how you configured your accounts.
For more information, see the knowledge base article
What is my IU Network ID?
The Network ID you have entered does not match the UITS records. To access your scores in
Post'Em you must have a valid Network ID.
If you do not remember your network password, you must take your picture ID
to the UITS Support Center in room M084 of the Indiana Memorial Union
(across from the billiards/bowling area).
They can help you find out what your network password is,
and how to make all of your accounts use a single password.
After I log in, what should I do?
- If you are enrolled in only one course that uses Post'Em,
You will see your scores for this course.
- If Post'Em contains scores for two or more of your classes,
You will see a pop-up menu listing all of your courses using Post'Em.
- Select the course for which you want to see scores,
and click on the Display Scores button.
The scores appear on the next screen.
- You can click the Select Another Course button
or the Back button in your browser
to view the scores for the other courses.
Remember to exit your browser after you finish viewing your
scores!
How can I remove scores from past courses?
We do not have a fixed policy for deleting old accounts.
Since most instructors still have access to their accounts,
you may want to e-mail them and ask them to upload a scores file
containing a single blank space, which will remove their old scores,
or to delete the entire account if it will not be re-used.
Who should I contact if I have a question or problem?
- Not all instructors use Post'Em to post scores and course feedback.
If no scores are found for your username, please ask your instructor:
- whether he or she has used Post'Em to post scores for your class.
- to check that your username is entered correctly in their
Post'Em scores file.
- Post'Em reports only the scores sent by your instructor.
Please contact your instructor for questions or comments about scores.
- Please check the
Post'Em Frequently Asked Questions.
- If you have other questions, please feel free to contact us
by telephone at (812) 855-1595 or
by e-mail at best@indiana.edu.
