and they just don’t deserve it. And back here, on the other hand, almost all of your friends are jealous of you and would also like to be far from here. I consider this question closed. We won’t be discussing it again.
At the same time, I wanted to let you know that, together with Zonya, there’s a lawyer who went to take an exam in Kharkov and also got stuck there, leaving her family here. If you want, you should talk to her. I’m forwarding you her address— you can say that you’re Gilman’s niece.
Everything’s okay by us, we’re all in good health. So get better, and try to enjoy yourself there a bit more. I hope this letter will give you some peace of mind and that from now on you will behave yourself more wisely.
I send you a thousand kisses and hold you close to my aching heart.
