AFGHANISTAN AND CENTRAL ASIA RESEARCH INFORMATION
Welcome
to the Afghanistan and Central Asia Research Information
(ACARI) web site. The ACARI web site was created on
February 14, 2002, as part of M. Nazif Shahrani's research
at Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana. The focus
of the ACARI web site will be on Afghanistan and the
regions of Central Asia. This web site will include
published book chapters and journal articles written
by Nazif Shahrani. It will also include interviews,
videos, and audio archives dealing with his work in
the region.
Nazif Shahrani is the current Chair of the Near Eastern Languages and
Cultures (NELC) department and Director of Middle Eastern and Islamic
Studies Program (MEISP) at IU Bloomington.
