(Responding to Incidents of Casual and Everyday Racism)

Need a place to go to talk about feeling discriminated on campus or in the community? Don't know what to do when someone makes a racial comment about you or your friends? Please come to RICER support group session. It is an informal gathering of students to provide support for one another on issues of racism. This session allows students to share personal experiences of racism, discuss ways of identifying, coping with, and confronting casual and everyday racism in a confidential atmosphere. Empower yourself to initiate dialogue on race and civility. For more information or to schedule an appointment, please contact Melanie Castillo-Cullather at acc@indiana.edu.

    Speakers' Bureau

We often receive requests from classes and campus organizations for students who can speak from their personal experiences as Asian international or Asian American students at Indiana University. Since personal connections often are the best way to dispel stereotypes and reach out to the community, we accomodate such requests as much as possible. Please e-mail acc@indiana.edu if you are looking for a student speaker, or if you would like to join the Speakers' Bureau.
